PayRoutes Quick Actions ("the extension") is a browser extension by Prince Consulting that lets dealership and service-business operators take payments through their PayRoutes merchant portal — pinpad charges, virtual terminal, and payment links — without leaving the business-management software they already use.
What the extension does with page data. When you are on a supported dealership/business management system (DMS) page and use the extension, it reads the current page to pre-fill a payment form with: invoice/reference number, amount, customer name, email, and phone number. On supported DMS sites this happens while the side panel is open; access to those sites is part of the permissions you approve when installing. Business systems outside the supported list can be added by you through an explicit permission prompt (revocable from the options page), and any other site is read only when you click the extension on that tab (per-tab opt-in). Extracted values are passed directly to your own PayRoutes merchant portal session (loaded inside the extension's side panel over HTTPS) to pre-fill the payment form. The extension does not store these values, does not send them to any third party, and does not transmit them anywhere other than your PayRoutes portal.
Session detection (auto sign-in). If you are already signed into your PayRoutes portal in this browser, the extension's side panel uses that same session — you do not sign in twice. To do this, the extension checks for the presence of its own PayRoutes portal session cookie (payroutes.io / payroutes.tech only) and asks the portal who is signed in. The cookie's value is never transmitted anywhere or stored by the extension; no other site's cookies are read.
Settings and local cache. The extension stores locally in your browser (chrome.storage.local): your portal URL preference, and your signed-in status with basic account identity (name, email, role) so the panel can show who is signed in. This local cache is not synced and is not transmitted to anyone other than your own PayRoutes portal.
Diagnostics. The extension sends error and diagnostic telemetry to Sentry (a crash-reporting service) so we can fix extraction failures. Diagnostic events record which fields were found and which extraction strategy ran — they do not contain the scraped values themselves (no invoice numbers, amounts, names, emails, or phone numbers).
Data sharing and sale. We do not sell user data. We do not share user data with third parties except the Sentry diagnostics described above. We do not use data for purposes unrelated to the extension's single purpose (taking payments through your PayRoutes portal). Payment data entered in the portal is governed by the PayRoutes platform privacy policy and our PCI-compliant processors; raw card numbers never pass through the extension or PayRoutes servers (card entry is tokenized client-side by our payment processor).
Security. All transmission is over HTTPS. Cross-frame messaging between the extension and the portal is locked to the portal's exact origin.
